PURPOSE
TO HAVE REGULAR MEETINGS AT WHICH ITS MEMBERS CAN MEET ASSIST ONE ANOTHER AND ALSO THE FIREMEN OF THE HONEOYE FALLS FIRE DEPARTMENT WHENEVER SUCH ASSISTANCE IS NEEDED.
ELIGIBILITY
ELECTED MEMBERS FROM AMONG THE WIVES, DAUGHTERS, MOTHERS, AND SISTERS OF ANY ACTIVE FIREMEN LIVING WITHIN THE FIRE DISTRICT CAN REMAIN A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING AS LONG AS THE FIREMAN WHO SHE JOINED THROUGH IS ACTIVE, EXEMPT, OR DECEASED ANY MEMBER OF THIS AUXILIARY MUST BE AT LEAST EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE ON HER LAST BIRTHDAY.
THE AUXILIARY WILL BE SIXTY (60) YEARS IN ACTIVE DUTIES FOR THE COMMUNITY.
Our volunteer activities include:
We make sure our firefighters are fed and we keep the coffee or cold drinks handy when there is major fire or event that we are needed at.
In June, we work at Village Days Celebration by working the Food Booth serving the traditional Iron Man Plate.
In August, we volunteer at the food booth at our Sportsman’s Raffle.
In November, we prepare and serve food at the Turkey Raffle.
In December, we serve fresh baked cookies, hot chocolate and hot cider at the fire hall after the annual Holiday Parade.
We are always looking for volunteers. If you do not have a relative in the fire department, you can still submit an application to join the auxiliary as long as you are over 18 years old and in good standing in the community.
