In the early morning hours of Monday, February 4, firefighters from Livingston, Monroe and Ontario Counties responded to a house fire on East Main St. in the Village of Lima. The fire, which began in the basement, rapidly spread through the two-story balloon frame home. The family dog is credited with alerting the occupants to the fire, allowing them to escape safely. Lima was assisted at the scene with mutual aid from Honeoye Falls, East Avon, West Bloomfield, Ionia, Rush, Mendon, Livonia and Hemlock.

Honeoye Falls Barn Burn Training Drill Saturday November 24th at 90 Sheldon Road.
Just after 11 pm Sunday February 24th 2008 a call came in for a vehicle rollover in the parking lot of Critics Family Restaurant. Luckily there were only minor injuries.

Photos of the Route 65 Barn fire early Friday morning October 10th 2008. The call came in as a car into a barn. The car caught the barn on fire. Crews from Honeoye Falls, Mendon, and Rush helped put the barn out. If you look closely at the last two pictures you can see what remains of the car.

(Honeoye Falls, N.Y.) -- A man from Rush faces DWI and other charges, after a head-on crash Monday night in Honeoye Falls.

Monroe County Sheriff's deputies said Kreg Tracy, 45, was driving west on Monroe Street east of Route 15A around 9:15 p.m. when he crossed over the center lines and hit an oncoming car head-on.

Both Tracy and the woman driving the other car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Do to a quick spring thaw there was a large ice jam on Honeoye Creek which caused the creek to over flow its banks and flood several homes basements. It also deposited large chucks of ice in their yards. Some were the size of compact cars.
